EL SEGUNDO (CBSLA.com) — Police arrested a suspect who reportedly stole a gold chain from a woman’s neck in El Segundo Monday afternoon.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. while the victim was walking to work at the Hilton Garden Inn at 2100 E. Mariposa Avenue.
El Segundo police immediately set up a perimeter. A Los Angeles Police Department helicopter and police dogs assisted in the effort to find the assailant.
The suspect was discovered two hours later at 2043 E. Mariposa, which was blocks away from the initial crime.
